WAUSAU (WAOW) -- A Marathon County judge is allowing Leilani Neumann's attorney 24 hours to summarize the testimony from an expert witness.
Wednesday afternoon, the judge said he cannot make a fair ruling to allow or deny testimony from a faith healing expert without knowing what the witness is going to say.
The Prosecution filed a motion to remove the witness's testimony from the trial.
Neumann is accused of praying over her dying daughter instead of seeking medical attention.
Leilani Neumann is charged with second-degree reckless homicide.
Prosecutors say Neumann had a duty to take her sick daughter to a doctor.
The 41 year old mother has said the family believes in the Bible which says healing comes from God.
Neumann says she never expected her daughter to die.
A jury from Marathon County is being picked Thursday and the trial is expected to last through next week.
Dale Neumann's trial, the father of the girl, is set to begin in July.
