WAUPACA COUNTY (WAOW) -- Late Saturday night Waupaca County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call of an explosion inside a garage.
The explosion happened at E8253 County Road Fremont in the Township of Caledonia.
During the investigation, officers found the explosion happened inside an attached garage with two men inside. One man was transported to the hospital and later airlifted to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, WI. He was later released. The other man refused treatment at the scene. Investigators say neither of their injuries were life threatening.
Investigators say there is extensive structural damage to the garage and the attached home. There was also a truck parked in the garage that suffered extensive damage.
The explosion is still under investigation.
Waupaca County Sheriff's deputies were assisted by the Dale Fire Department, Dale First Responders, Fremont Ambulance crews and Theda Star of Theda Clark Medical Center.
