KIEL, Wis. (AP) - The funeral for the eastern Wisconsin soldier killed in the Fort Hood, Texas, shooting will be Saturday at the high school gym in Kiel.
Jean Detroye of Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home said Tuesday the service for Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Amy Krueger will start at 1 p.m. She says a visitation is planned at the gym Friday.
The 29-year-old Krueger was among 13 killed in last Thursday's shooting. Authorities say Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan fired off more than 100 rounds at a soldier processing center before police shot him in the torso.
Also killed in the rampage was Army Reserve Capt. Russell Seager of Racine.
Detroye says Krueger's body was flown to an airport in Milwaukee on Tuesday and her parents were there to accompany the remains home to Kiel.
