Tomahawk doctors keep up with patients by using paperless medical records

Posted:

TOMAHAWK (WAOW)--Doctors at the Sacred Heart Hospital Campus in Tomahawk are now using electronic health records. All doctors and nurses will have a computer tablet they can use to update patients medical records.

Ministry Health Care administrators say this is a big step for the hospital and for patients that use their services. Not only can the hospital keep better track records, now patients’ records can travel with them if they go to a different doctor.

Newsline 9’s Heather Sawaski is in Tomahawk and she’ll have more on this new technology tonight on Newsline 9 at 5, 6 and 10.
