WAUSAU (WAOW)--The Portage County Health Department releases a statement in reference to the latest death there  blamed on the H1N1 virus.

Medical experts say the individual did not have an underlying health condition. Due to privacy concerns, the Health Department will not release any other  information.

Faye Tetzloff, Portage County Health Officer says, "Our thoughts are with the family and friend during this difficult time."

Portage County has vaccines available to high risk groups. You can see if you are in one of those groups at  www.co.portage.wi.us or call your  local United Way 211 office in Wisconsin.

Marathon and Waupaca County also reported deaths from swine flu  during the past week. The Department of Health Services reports 11 deaths across the state are blamed on the H1N1 virus. That brings the total number in Wisconsin since last spring to 31.
