MILWAUKEE (AP/WISN) -- Thursday's massive flooding in Milwaukee turns deadly as the first victim is identified.
A body found face-down in Lincoln Creek has been identified as a 19-year-old Cudahy man who went missing during Thursday's rainstorms. The Milwaukee County medical examiner says the man is Kyle Prelesnik.
Police believe he died when his red Chrysler Sebring was swept down the creek when torrential rains flooded streets throughout Milwaukee County.
The victim's mother says she warned her son about the dangers of driving through the storm.
Mary Kroll, the victim's Mother says, "I talked to him about 5 o'clock that night and I said please stay at your sister's it's raining really bad or call me before you leave. He said 'yeah mom don't worry I can handle it and he couldn't."
Prelesnik was a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student. His body was found in the creek yesterday by a passer-by. An autopsy will be conducted Monday.
