WESTON (WAOW) - DC Everest goalkeeper Hannah Jasurda became the first Evergreen soccer player to ever get a Division 1 college scholarship on Tuesday. She signed to play at the University of South Florida. Jasurda was 1st-Team All-Wisconsin Valley Conference as a junior and honorable mention following her senior season. She lead the Evergreens to a 16-7-2 record this past spring, including 8-3-1 in league play. The senior started all 12 conference games, making 53 saves and giving up only 10 goals.
Jasurda chose USF over Baylor, Furman, and Idaho State. She just visited the campus in Tampa around a week ago and now must report for action later this week. Despite being a freshman at a Division 1 school, she says she expects the chance to compete for playing time right away.
