WAUSAU (WAOW)--Members from several unions rallied Tuesday night, against Governor Scott Walker's budget proposal. Union members from the AFL-CIO, plumbers and pipefitters, stood side by side with teachers who want their voices heard.
Michelle Frola from the Central Wisconsin UniServ Council said rally-goers hope the demonstrations put some heat on lawmakers. "If they're rushing this through so fast that if we don't do things like this how else are we going to have any kind of public opinion input into this bill."
Frola said similar rallies were held in Medford and Marathon.
