Internet DirectorWAOW-TV, the ABC affiliate, in Wausau, WI is seeking a take-charge leader to help guide us to a future that goes well beyond traditional broadcast news. WAOW-TV is seeing a full-time Internet Director.
We are committed to being the number #1 overall favorite media destination for news and information in Central Wisconsin. The Internet Director is a key journalist in our newsroom who is responsible for leading our efforts to push compelling content online, on air, to mobile and social media platforms.
Ideal candidates are self-starters who work well with minimal supervision, motivate team members, adapt to flexible schedules and thrive in a deadline driven environment. A college degree in journalism or related field supports the expectation of solid news judgment, writing skills and knowledge of AP style. Experience with the iNews, WorldNow platform and web-related software a plus.

Master Control Operator
WAOW-TV is seeking applicants for a part time Master Control Operator. The successful candidate must be detail oriented, have multi-tasking abilities, and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities include recording and prepping on air content, commercial insertion, and logging; responding to duties in support of technical operations; and keeping up to date transmitter readings and reports. The candidate will need to possess the necessary technical skills to interface with computer systems running a variety of operating systems as well as the ability to learn new systems.
The successful candidate will have experience with live news environment, excellent computer skills, and people skills. College courses in video production desired. Variable hours and days should be expected including night, weekend and holiday shifts. SBE certification and/or background in broadcast technology preferred. Training is available for an applicant with the right aptitude and technical skills.
