WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Newsline 9 has received confirmation that Greenheck is to layoff 91 of its recalled employees.
Those employees were laid off but were called back to work during the summer months for additional production support.
Employees were notified of the layoffs Friday morning.
The layoffs will be effective as of September 7, 2009.
In a letter one of the affected employees received, Greenheck's Vice President of Human Resources Jon Krueger says that the layoffs are a "direct result of adverse market conditions that continue to affect commercial construction in North America. With the completion of the heavy summer vacation period, current order intake will not support the employment of everyone who was recalled."
Newsline 9 has a crew working on this story and will bring you the details on WAOW.com.
