MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -- The dean at U-W Marshfield/Wood County will retire at the end of the school year. The Chancellor of U-W colleges, Dr. David Wilson, says he was not prepared to for Dr. Andy Keogh's retirement announcement.
"Andy spoke with me about this for a couple of months, but even so, given the kind of leadership he has offered here on the campus makes it very, very hard to accept, " says Wilson.
Chancellor Wilson spoke with students today. He says they want the next dean to be as passionate and open with the students as Keogh was.
In the next few weeks, a search and screen committee will begin looking for candidates to replace Keogh.
Wilson plans to select a dean in June 2010.
