APPLETON (WAOW)--Republican Terri McCormick has announced her candidacy for the 8th congressional district.
McCormick, of Grand Chute, is a former state representative.
She ran in the GOP primary in 2006 but lost to John Gard.
Five other Republicans have announced their intent to run.
The winner of the primary in September 2010 will face off against U.S. Representative Steve Kagen (D-Appleton).
