WisPolitics reports Falk not running for Lt. Gov.

MADISON (WKOW) -- State political news organization WisPolitics.com is reporting Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk will not run for lieutenant governor.

This is according to campaign aide Melissa Mulliken, who managed Falk's re-election in the Spring 2009 election.

Mulliken told WisPolitics "People in the party urged her to run. I'm not surprised they urged her to run but she has a job she loves, and she's not interested in running for lieutenant governor."

The list is growing for lieutenant governor candidates after Barbara Lawton announced she would not run again.

Candidates include Republican Ben Collins, founded of Lake Geneva company Aptus Technologies; Superior Mayor Dave Ross (R); State Rep. Brett Davis (R-Oregon); Democrat Milwaukee Alderman Tony Zielinski; and Democrat James Schneider of Gotham.
