STEVENS POINT (WAOW) -- It's a long running tradition in Stevens Point, sleeping outside in the winter to be the first in line for Belt's ice cream and it was no different this year.
Many students waited in the Belt's parking lot since school let out Thursday afternoon.
They say it's a tradition they won't break. Plus, the ice cream is good too.
"We have to get the ice cream." One girls says, "This is like the best place in town to get ice cream. We'd do anything for it."
Anything indeed. Thursday night's high temperature didn't even get about 20 degrees. It's better than in years past though. At least it didn't snow.
