LINCOLN COUNTY (Press Release) -- Derek Gervais is back in custody. The Crandon Police Department became involved in the investigation on Monday afternoon. Acting on a tip, a Crandon police officer, along with Deputies from the Forest County Sheriff's Department took Gervais into custody near Armstrong Creek just before 9:00 PM this evening.
Gervais will be returned to the Lincoln County Jail where he will face an additional charge of escape.

The search is on for a Lincoln County Jail inmate.
The jail administrator says Derek J. Gervais, 25, walked away from the jail on March 4th to attend probation counseling. He never showed up to the counseling appointment or came back to the jail. Gervais was in the jail on a probation violation.
He's a 5'10", white man, weighing 165 pounds with blue eyes and light brown hair.
