Wienermobile rolls into Marshfield

MARSHFIELD (WAOW)-- The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is in the area. In the driver seat sits Victoria Oleson, a Stratford native. Oleson, known as "Victory Dog Victoria," and her fellow hotdogger parked the 27-foot long vehicle in front of Pick and Save in Marshfield.

People flocked to the store, many snapping photos as proof they've seen the infamous Wienermobile.

"It's a chance of a lifetime! I know it has not been in here for 19 years or so. We thought it 'd be fun to do. Just a fun adult, crazy thing to do, "Judy Sheridan-Hollar.

The hotdoggers gave tours of the wiener on wheels and dished out the iconic Wienerwhistle to those who sang the Oscar Mayer jingle. For many people, the Wienermobile brings back fond memories of childhood and Oleson is proud to make it happen.

"It feels good to be part of that bond and that connection that they have and to be able to recreate that memory is amazing as well," says Oleson.

Oleson is one of 12 hotdoggers who drives all over the country. "We relish the opportunity to drive the Wienermobile," says Oleson.

She's driven the Wienermobile to 31 states and says she's glad to catch up with people in North Central Wisconsin. She averages 500 miles per week. Making stops to mingle at promotional events like this. And when the day is done, Oleson says, "It's great to "ketch up" with you today!"

Then hits the road again. Oleson started her year long tour as a hotdogger after she graduated from UW-Madison. She and the Wienermobile are sticking around the area this weekend.
