Press release: Lincoln County drug bust

TOMAHAWK (WAOW) -- A forty year old Tomahawk man has been arrested on a felony and misdemeanor charge after Deputies along with a Tomahawk Police Officer conducted a search warrant early Saturday morning in the City of Tomahawk.

An investigator from the sheriff's office was notified by the Tomahawk Police Department that they had obtained evidence of an indoor marijuana growing operation at 17 E Prospect Ave. Just after midnight a search of the home was conducted and ten marijuana plants along with drug paraphernalia were found in the man's bedroom.

He was brought to the Lincoln County Jail where he has been charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He will be held for a bond hearing on Monday in Lincoln County Court.

In 2008 the Tomahawk Police Department arrested the same man on a charge of manufacturing marijuana after seven plants were found growing in his bedroom. He was convicted of that felony charge in June of 2009 and sentenced to sixty days in jail with Huber and fined $300 for that offense.
