WITTENBERG (WAOW) -- Clean up efforts in the community of Wittenberg are just about done and well ahead of schedule.
A Village Trustee says they expected clean up efforts to go for several more weeks but a helpful community has moved things along very quickly.
Volunteers throughout the Wittenberg area have spent the past 10 days cleaning up brush, picking up tree branches are removing stumps.
Village Trustee James Sterk, says, "It's a slow process but this week went really quickly and we got a lot done and got done more than we expected and pretty much got it all done."
The extra volunteer help is also coming from outside the community. T
he Village Trustee says a guy from Plover is coming over next week to haul away this pile of trees for free.
