WISCONSIN (WAOW) -- Millions of federal dollars are headed our way, this time for vaccines and childcare.
Representative Dave Obey announced over 34-million dollars is coming to the state. Almost 4 million of that will help increase the availability of immuzations in Wisconsin. It's part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. It's money doctors say will help underinsured patients.
Jeffrey Lamont, M.D. from Marshfield Clinic, says, "Anything that increases their availability, reduces barriers to children and adults who need vaccines is something that should be supported."
The remaining 30 million dollars will go to child care programs. Obey says that will give low-income parents the chance to go to work.. and feel their children are safe.
