WAKE UP WISCONSIN (WAOW)-- This week's winners are all the students at Almond Elementary School.
A senior football player named Graham Barden was chosen to play in the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All Star Game that's in July.
Part of the event includes doing charity work.
So, as a student council member, Graham decided to call on the elementary students to try and raise money for the Children's hospital of Wisconsin.
The students raised over $700 for the cause, by purchasing paper footballs.
The classes had competitions to raise the most money, and Graham promised the winning class an ice cream social.
The students have until next Friday to raise money, and so far Graham has raised over 3-grand for the cause.
The footballs are hung up all over the school, and truly illustrate what a difference kids can make if they put their heart towards something.
We had the opportunity to meet with the students, they were so much fun, and deserve to be recognized for taking the challenge and beating their goal of a couple hundred dollars.
It's great to see kids work to help out their peers who are in need.
If you would like your school to be on Wake Up Wisconsin be sure to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with all your nominations.
Every Friday at 6:30 on Wakeup, we recognize a different school for their accomplishments.
