PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Jack Ikegwuonu (eye-kee-GWAH'-noo) was one of the last Eagles players to leave the practice field Wednesday afternoon. When you have been off the field as long as Ikegwuonu has, every minute matters.
The Eagles drafted Ikegwuonu in the fourth round of the 2008 draft knowing he wouldn't play last season as he recovered from a torn ACL. Ikegwuonu and his twin brother, Bill, also had a felony burglary charge pending against them.
Just over a year later, the knee is sound and Ikegwuonu believes the criminal charges will be resolved soon.
Last year was trying for the former University of Wisconsin star, who before the knee injury and criminal allegations was considered a late first-round or early second-round pick.
Instead he dropped to the fourth round and spent his first year in the NFL watching and learning.
