Gantner back at Athletic Park Tuesday

WAUSAU (WAOW) - Former Woodchucks manager Jim Gantner will attend tonight's game with the La Crosse Loggers.  He plans to sign autographs before the first pitch.

The former Brewers great managed the Chucks the past two years.  He's still part of the team as the Director of Baseball Operations.

Gantner to Sign Autographs Tonight


WAUSAU, WI - June 2, 2009 - Jim Gantner, the Director of Baseball Operations for the Wisconsin Woodchucks, will be at Woodchucks game tonight. Gantner will be available to sign autographs before the game.

Gantner, who played with the Milwaukee Brewers for 17 years, is in his third season with the Woodchucks organization. After spending two years as the team's field manager, Gantner is currently assisting the team as the Director of Baseball Operations.

Fans are encouraged to come out to meet Gantner tonight as the ‘Chucks look to win their third game in a row as they take on the La Crosse Loggers with the first pitch set for 6:35 pm. Bernie Brewer will also be at the game tonight, as fans will have a chance to win Brewers tickets every inning, presented by Mosinee Insurance.
