2 Milwaukee officers expected to survive shooting

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Milwaukee police say the two officers shot multiple times by a bicyclist are expected to survive.

Police Chief Edward Flynn says he's grateful for the community support after the officers were shot Tuesday afternoon.

Flynn says officer Graham Kunisch, 26, is in critical condition, and Bryan Norberg, 21, is in satisfactory condition.

The chief says the officers stopped the bicyclist because he looked suspicious, and the man, 18, responded by shooting them before they had time to react.

Flynn says the man was arrested within an hour and his gun was recovered. He says the man has a previous arrest record.

Flynn lauded a cab driver who came to the officers' aid, and a UPS driver who tried to follow the suspect.
