Crime Stoppers: Portage County business burglaries

Portage County (WAOW)-- Portage County Crime Stoppers is seeking your help solving three reports of Burglaries.

Two Burglaries took place in the Village of Amherst and the third in the Town of Buena Vista. All three burglaries targeted businesses. The Burglaries happend on May 30th and 31st.... during late night hours.

The first business hit in this crime spree is Don Smith Sales in the Town of Buena Vista. The burglars broke the front door with a tire iron and then entered the building. The cash register was taken. It is unknown what else was taken.

The second business burglarized is the Subway in the Village of Amherst. This time the burglars used a rock to smash the front door to the business. The owners are doing an inventory to the store to determine if anything else was taken.

The BP Gas Station in Amherst, was the last business hit. The Burglars threw a rock through the front door causing the alarm to go off and scaring them off. It's also unclear what was stolen.

Damage alone from the three burglaries will exceed $2000.00... not to mention the items taken.
