MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Jim Doyle will kick off the "United We Serve" national community service campaign with stops today in Madison and Milwaukee.
Doyle will encourage Wisconsin residents to participate this summer in community service projects after President Barack Obama made a similar call to service.
Doyle will pass out lunches today in Madison at the Goodman Community Center's Summer Lunch Program.
Later in the afternoon, he'll volunteer in Milwaukee at Growing Power, an urban farm and classroom that helps provide healthy food and training for communities to develop sustainable food systems.
