WAUSAU (WAOW) - The Chucks get a fresh start.  Tonight they start the second half of their Northwoods League season.

And it's a home tilt against the Mallards... the team they just swept in a two-game series... with big performances by starting pitchers Bryce Butt and Bryce Shafer.

Woodchucks Pitching Coach Guido Aspeitia: "We came in and threw strikes early, a lot has been said about the defense. One of the biggest things is that we haven't thrown strikes early. Strike one, strike two so our defense has been back on its heels, a lot of base on balls. We threw Butt out there, Shafer, those are probable our top two guys right now. They went out there and gave the defense a chance to field some balls early in the count and that made it better for us."

Brandon Koenigstein starts tonight with a 1-2 2.97 ERA.
