MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Brewers bench coach Willie Randolph has been suspended one game and fined after being ejected from Milwaukee's 5-0 loss to St. Louis last night.
Randolph was tossed by plate umpire Bill Hohn after he protested a check-swing call on an 0-2 pitch to Albert Pujols from the dugout in the third inning.
He'll serve the suspension tonight when Milwaukee faces the Cardinals.
The ejection came an inning after Brewers hitting coach Dale Sveum was thrown out for arguing that pitcher Yovani Gallardo had checked his swing. Hohn did not appeal to first base umpire Bruce Dreckman and ruled that Gallardo swung.
