WAUSAU (WAOW) - Just after the Woodchucks wrapped up Saturday night's game... they said good-bye to one of their better players.  Michael Mutchesun will compete for his country on the Canadian National Team.

He hops a plane for Vancouver... where he'll practice for a week then play teams like the Japan... Germany and the United States.

About a week and a half ago the Manitoba... Canada native learned he was invited to the World Baseball Challenge... and it's a tremendous honor.

Woodchucks Infielder Michael Mutchesun: "It's awesome. It's an honor to play for your country and wear your country's colors. So a big honor."

Mutchesun was batting .235 with 28 hits (tied for 4th most on the team) in 34 games.
