Local teams fill Babe Ruth state softball title games

WAUSAU (WAOW) - The Babe Ruth state softball tournament has a strong local flavor in all four championship games at Wausau West High School.

Wisconsin Rapids has three teams in the finals.  Wausau and DC Everest each had 2.

In the 10 and under division Wisconsin Rapids defeats DC Everest 4-2.  Both teams advance to regionals in Wisconsin Rapids.

DC Everest wins the 12U division with an 8-0 score over Wausau.  These teams also qualify for regionals in Rapids.

Wisconsin Rapids wins a 3-0 shutout against Wausau in the 14U championship game.  These two teams qualify for the Ohio Valley Regional in Louisville, Kentucky.

Marinette defeats Wisconsin Rapids 8-1 for the 16U title.  They also head to regionals in Louisville.
