Telemarketer charged with using clients' credit card numbers
Eau Claire (WQOW) -- An Eau Claire telemarketer has been charged with identity theft. She's accused of using clients' credit card information to buy things like pizza and jeans for herself.
Shanon Jackson was arrested. Investigators say while working at Strategic Communications in Eau Claire, she used customers' account information to rack up at least $2,000 in charges, possibly more.
Investigators say she admitted stealing account information from three or four people. Police say she told them she needed to pay the bills, but her roommate told officers Jackson bought car parts, pizza and Apple Bottom jeans instead.
