WAUSAU (WAOW) - Two years ago Justin Potes was an all-star for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The past two seasons he's made the transition to the coaches box.
Potes was also a standout infielder and outfielder at Michigan State. He broke his jaw during a Chucks practice in 2007, then played his senior year for the Spartans.
After that he stayed in East Lansing, Michigan as a grad assistant.
This marks his second year as a Chucks' coach.
Woodchucks Assistant Coach Justin Potes: "I wouldn't say the transition is complete in any form. I really wish I could be out here playing. As a coach I guess you have to look at more of the strategy side of it. It's still good to come out and be a part of the game of baseball."
