ESPN announces times/TV listings for Big Ten-ACC Challenge

MADISON (PRESS RELEASE) - In conjunction with the Big Ten and the ACC, ESPN announced Wednesday the times and television listings for the 11th annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge Presented by Dick's Sporting Goods. Wisconsin will host Duke in one of the final games of the Challenge on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 8:15 p.m. (central) on ESPN.   "There are a lot of good teams in the ACC, but in getting assigned Duke in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, we know that we'll be playing one of the best," Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan said in April when the pairings were announced. "They will be a favorite in that conference next year and probably ranked among the top five in the preseason. Every year we try to schedule one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country and playing Duke will fit right in with several other difficult opponents we will face. Mike Krzyzewski's teams are always well-prepared and well-coached, but we're looking forward to the challenge."   The Badgers went 2-0 vs. the ACC last season, including a 74-72 win at Virginia Tech in the 2008 Big Ten/ACC Challenge and a 61-59 overtime win over Florida State in the NCAA tournament. Overall, UW owns a 4-6 record, 2-1 at home, in the Challenge.   The fourth-winningest college basketball program of all-time, Duke won the 2009 ACC Tournament and posted a 30-7 record en route to the Sweet Sixteen of the 2009 NCAA Tournament. The Blue Devils are a perfect 10-0 all-time in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, including an 82-58 win over Wisconsin in 2007 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.   2009 Big Ten/ACC Challenge Presented by Dick's Sporting Goods Monday, Nov. 30 Penn State at Virginia, 6 p.m. CT, ESPN2   Tuesday, Dec. 1 Wake Forest at Purdue, 6 p.m. CT, ESPN Maryland at Indiana, 6:30 p.m. CT, ESPN2 Northwestern at North Carolina State, 6 p.m. CT, ESPNU Michigan State at North Carolina, 8 p.m. CT, ESPN Virginia Tech at Iowa, 8:30 p.m. CT, ESPN2   Wednesday, Dec. 2 Illinois at Clemson, 6:15 p.m. CT, ESPN Boston College at Michigan, 6:30 p.m. CT, ESPN2 Minnesota at Miami, FL, 6:15 or 7:30 p.m. CT, ESPNU Duke at Wisconsin, 8:15 p.m. CT, ESPN Florida State at Ohio State, 8:30 p.m. CT, ESPN2         Patrick Herb University of Wisconsin Athletic Communications
