Chucks start big homestand

By Russ Owens

WAUSAU (WAOW)-  The Wisconsin Woodchucks have had a solid stretch, the team winning four of its last five games.  Now times get even more crucial for the Chucks.

Wisconsin returns home to Athletic Park for a five game homestand that could well decide the fate of the season.

The Chucks enter Sunday's game against the Bullfrogs five games back of first place Madison in the Northwoods South

So it's time to turn things on.

Says Field Manager Guido Aspeitia, "One of the things we talk about is we're not looking at this as a five game series, it's a one game series, every night is important for us, and every night we don't get it done is a wasted opportunity, right now with the way Madison and La Crosse are playing, I think we can make a jump at them."

Says Outfielder Troy Frazier, "Just being on the road this whole season, it's gonna be nice to get the crowd going. The past few games we've had a good crowd showing. We need to get them going, get a couple hits, that's really all you can ask for when you come out here every day."
