Drive-in robbery ends in fatal shooting

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) -- Police say two masked robbers held up a Kenosha drive-in, fatally shot one employee and injured another.

The two masked men entered Shirl's Custard drive-in through a back door as employees were about to close Sunday about 9:30 p.m. One man was armed with a gun, the other with a knife.

Police say they shot and killed an 18-year-old man and wounded the 43-year-old male manager. Four female employees were not hurt. The men grabbed some money and took off on foot.

Robert Wilde of Kenosha was pronounced dead at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center. The manager was treated and released.
