MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Wisconsin State Fair Park board has proposals from three potential new promoters for the financially troubled Milwaukee Mile racetrack and will consider them at a meeting Thursday night.
Interim State Fair Park executive director Craig Barkelar says the board received three letters of intent from potential new promoters Wednesday.
The board voted last week to end its partnership with promoter Wisconsin Motorsports, which is believed to owe NASCAR and the IRL several million dollars -- putting the future of the track's two major events in jeopardy.
