RIVER FALLS, Wis. (AP) -- The Kansas City Chiefs will be missing a handful of players for the first practice of training camp.
Coach Todd Haley says a few players did not pass their physicals Friday and will not participate in Saturday's practices.
He wouldn't say which players failed physicals. None are expected to be out long term.
Some were unable to complete the team's conditioning test in the allotted time, but Haley says other players didn't pass the physical for other reasons.
Defensive end Tyson Jackson, the team's first-round draft pick, still hasn't worked out a contract with the team and has yet to arrive in River Falls, Wis.
