Man arrested for pointing gun at customers at area gas station
Pierce County (WQOW) - A person filling up their car tells police they thought they were going to die when they saw a man pull a gun.
Police say it happened at a Kwik Trip in River Falls on Sunday. No one was hurt and no shots were fired.
Lemuel Johnson, from Bay City, is accused of pointing a gun at a couple in a car. Police believe Johnson's daughter-in-law and her new boyfriend were in that car.
Johnson told police he went to confront them over concerns about their relationship and whether his four-year-old granddaughter was being victimized.
He told police he never pulled a gun, but instead had a cell phone and car charger in his hands. A witness at the gas station said they were 99-percent sure he was holding a gun. They were filling up when it happened, and told police they believed they were going to die.
Johnson's daughter-in-law also told police she believed he was holding a gun. Johnson has been charged with pointing a gun at someone.
