MADISON (WAOW)- Sprint Cup driver Matt Kenseth raced against his 16-year-old son Ross for the first time on Sunday afternoon at Madison International Speedway. Matt won the twin 50 lap feature with Ross finishing second.
Says Ross Kenseth, "I thought they were pretty realistic dreams, I thought we should've had him today, I don't like to lose at all much less someone I know pretty well. I mean I lost to a cup champion, I wish we had something more for him, but it happens."
Says Matt Kenseth, "I wouldn't let anyone beat me, if I did that I wouldn't be doing this for a living. I'm competitive, everyone that races cars is competitive and wouldn't let anyone else win, so that's just never gonna happen."
