WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Later this evening Congressman Dave Obey will hold a telephone conference which will focus on health care reform.
Obey says it will allow thousands of people in the 7th Congressional district to participate.
50 thousand households were called and invited, and people were also able to sign up for the conference on-line.
Obey thinks this telephone approach will be more fruitful than a typical town hall meeting.
He says, "We'll be able to have an intelligent, reasonable conversation. People will be able to ask questions in a way that they won't get shouted down if somebody disagrees with what they're saying."
People who want to ask a question can press a button and wait to be called upon.
We'll have a summary of what happens during the forum tonight at 10.
