GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The 2008 season was shaping up as a breakout year for Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins. It all came to a screeching halt when Jenkins tore a pectoral muscle in the fourth game of the season.
As tough as the injury was to take, Jenkins says it might have been even worse to see his teammates struggling without him. Now he's healthy and ready to resume his role as a disruptive force for the Packers' defensive line.
Defensive ends in the team's new 3-4 defensive scheme generally do more of the dirty work and get less of the glory. Jenkins says he can still make plays in the 3-4, and it's time to "pick up where I left off."
