(WAOW) - One of the better games of the week pits two unbeaten Wisconsin Valley schools who will duke it out with the early conference lead on the line.

They'll face off in Marshfield as the Tigers welcome the Spash Panthers. The battle for the early top spot in the conference matches two teams who both made the sectional finals last year. Marshfield thus far this season is averaging 33 points per game. SPASH has won the Valley title in three of the past four seasons.

Rivaling Marshfield-SPASH for best game of the night might be out of the Central Wisconsin 8 where 3-0 Pacelli faces off against 3-0 Shiocton at Goerke Field. Both teams are ranked in the small school poll....Pacelli coming in at number three and Shiocton at number ten.

In another Valley game, Wausau West will travel to Wisconsin Rapids and 1-2 DC Everest finally has its brutal schedule behind it and will play its first Valley game of the season at Wausau East.

Out of the Marawood, Marathon visits Pittsville. The Raiders are trying to stay unbeaten and move to 4-0 on the season while the host Tigers will try to pick up their second win. Number one and number two teams Edgar and Stratford respectively travel up north to face Chequamegon Falls and Phillips.

Along with Edgar and Stratford, another state qualifer from a season ago is Colby and the Hornets will try to move their record to a perfect 4-0 against Stanley Boyd.

And of course you can catch all the best hilites right here on TV9 coming up in sports express at 10.
