NEENAH (WAOW) -- Portage County Police say a suicide investigation led them to the culprit of a hit-and-run case in Neenah.
According to a news release from the Neenah Police Department, a man left "several notes indicating, with significant specificity, that he was the driver of the vehicle in the fatal hit-and-run." The same release goes on to say that the man, 52, "expressed his remorse, and said he chose to flee because the van wasn't insured and he believed he was over the legal limit of alcohol. He indicated that he was unwilling to go to prison."
