City of Marshfield, Doyle recognized by Wisconsin Asthma Coalition

MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -- The City of Marshfield and Gov. Doyle are commited to keeping the air smoke-free, according to the Wisconsin Asthma Coalition (WAC).

WAC is recognizing Marshfield and Doyle for their efforts to provide a "safer environment for people with asthma," according to a news release from the organization.

The awards will be given at Clearwaters Hotel & Convention Center at 12:30 PM, Friday. WAC Chair, Rhonda Yngsdal-Krenz, will present the awards.

According to WAC, "Secondhand smoke is one of the worst triggers of asthma attacks and is an avoidable cause of asthma."
