Al Gore to speak with environmental journalists in Madison Friday
MADISON (WKOW) -- The Society of Environmental Journalists will welcome Former Vice President Al Gore and U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to their 19th annual conference Friday, October 9.
Journalists have been in town since Wednesday, discussing a wide range of topics from the Wisconsin River to sustainable agriculture to wildlife forensics.
Gore is scheduled to speak at 8:45 a.m. Friday on the importance of global climate change action 12 years after the signing of the Kyoto Protocol, and will follow up with a Q&A from the audience.
