Mosinee middle school students grieve Erin Ploman's death

MOSINEE (WAOW)--Teachers say it's been difficult for students at Mosinee Middle School where Erin attended class.

District leaders called in counselors and pastors so Erin's classmates could work through their grief.

Teachers also put up a collage where students could paste pictures and post messages to Erin.

7th Grade Communications Teacher Dana Kamke says the collage is a way for students to express their feelings. "We felt the students needed somewhere to go, some where to grieve, somewhere to touch, to write on," Kamke said. "We had just done a project with collage and we'd add picture of her so we used that sort of as our focal point for the kids to look at her, look at her life and actually for them to come up and write on the wall and write her a message."

Erin was a 7th grader at Mosinee Middle School.
