MARATHON COUNTY (WAOW) -- Travis Ploman of Mosinee is charged with multiple felony counts, including murder in the deaths of his wife and daughter.
Wednesday, he was visibly shaken in court when the charges against him were read.
Two felony counts of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle, one felony count of Causing Injury While Operating Under the Influence and one misdemeanor count of Resisting and Obstructing an Officer.
According to the accident report, alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash that killed his wife, 40 year old Jennifer, and his daughter, 12 year old Erin Ploman.
The accident happened on Interstate 39 early Sunday morning. His son survived the accident. He was treated and released from the hospital on Monday.
"At the end of the day," explained Assistant District Attorney Ken Heimerman. "we're dealing with a double OWI homicide where 2 young people including a child lost their lives needlessly. So this is a sad statement on what's going on now in this county.
Ploman be back in court on October 28th for a preliminary hearing.
