Protesters rally against health care legislation

WAUSAU (WAOW)--About 25 protesters rallied in front of Congressman Dave Obey's Wausau office Thursday afternoon, to speak out against health care legislation.

The protesters say they're concerned and angry about the reform taking shape in congress because of it's cost and it's effect on personal choice.

Rally-goer Tom Schuette says it's time for government to pull back. "What should change is we should get back to the basics of our country where there is open and limited government, individual and personal freedom and fiscal responsibility. That's really what our government and our country needs to get back to."

House Republicans and their supporters also held a rally on Capitol Hill to oppose the health care reform legislation.

They say the bill amounts to a government takeover of the health care system.

Congressional Representatives will vote on the House version of the bill Saturday.
