LINCOLN COUNTY (PRESS RELEASE)--The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office along with the Wisconsin State Patrol are continuing to investigate a one vehicle roll over crash that was reported to the sheriff's office yesterday November 24, at 2:02pm.

The crash occurred when two vehicles were witnessed racing S/B on Deer Run Ave. in the Town of Pine River just south east of the City of Merrill.

The vehicle that crashed was being operated by eighteen year old Terrance G Oleson of Merrill. This vehicle along with another vehicle being operated by nineteen year old David J Brandenburg, also of Merrill were witnessed traveling S/B on Deer Run Ave. at high rate of speed.

The vehicle being operated by Oleson then continued S/B through the intersection of Deer Run Ave. and Center Rd. without stopping at the stop sign. After entering the ditch the vehicle rolled several times before coming to a final rest. As the vehicle rolled both Oleson and his passenger eighteen year old Jordan Buehler of Merrill were ejected from the vehicle as neither were wearing their seat belts. Both Oleson and Buehler were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Merrill then later transferred to Wausau and Marshfield hospitals.

The driver of the second vehicle [name taken out by WAOW pending charges] was taken into custody as a result of his involvement with the race. Charges of first degree reckless homicide along with charges for causing injury to Oleson, and endangering others are pending for [name taken out by WAOW pending charges].
