TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- The Arizona Cardinals rose to NFL contention on the arm of Kurt Warner. Their defense was known mostly for giving up inopportune big plays, and that long touchdown drive that gave Pittsburgh it's last-minute Super Bowl win.
The aggressive defense of new coordinator Bill Davis has not put up impressive overall statistics, but apparently it has gained respect, because three Arizona defenders were selected for the Pro Bowl, two as starters.
A fourth defensive player, safety Antrel Rolle, was named an alternate.
By contrast, only one Cardinal offensive player made the team, All-Pro wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
