GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Aaron Kampman says the rehabilitation process for his injured left knee is ahead of schedule, and he expects to be ready for the beginning of training camp next season -- even if he isn't with the Green Bay Packers.
Speaking to reporters in the wake of the Packers' 51-45 overtime playoff loss at Arizona on Sunday, Kampman said Monday morning that his knee is progressing "very, very well." Kampman sustained a season-ending knee injury in the Packers' Nov. 22 victory over San Francisco and had surgery Dec. 4.
And while Kampman says he would like to stay with the Packers, the only team he has played for in eight NFL seasons, he's scheduled to become a free agent and his future with the team remains unclear.
